Wilma Hynes

Wilma Viola Hynes a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt and friend was born December 22, 1930 to William and Lillian Stafford in Prescott, Arizona. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday April 11, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Al Hynes and husband Pete Freeman, her son Bill Wasson and daughter Christine Morrison.

She is survived by her daughters Dianna Birrell husband Gene. Patty Roberts husband Ace, and daughter Linda Hynes and extended family.

She was blessed to have 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was called NaNa and loved by all who knew her.

Wilma's love and commitment to her family was unwavering. She was fun, loving, happy and friendly and was a very caring person. Her family and friends were blessed by her presence, strength and courage all through life.

In her younger years she enjoyed the outdoors and loved riding horses, loved the great parades and rodeos of Prescott where she was born and raised. Wilma had life- long friends, some who have passed and some still today. She loved them all dearly. She will be missed by her dogs who were always by her side and on her lap. She loved her dogs so much.

Wilma had a great sense of humor, enjoyed dancing, music and taking long rides to look at the yellow trees. Family gatherings, which her famous macaroni and cheese was always asked for by her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved holidays, watching her family decorate her Christmas tree, making gingerbread houses at Christmas and riding and looking at the Christmas lights. Dying and hiding eggs at Easter with the grandkids and great grandkids was always wanted and welcomed.

She will truly be loved and missed by all family and friends.

Burial will be on Tuesday April 24, at 2:15 at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Pallbearers will be Justin Birrell, Cory Brown, Ace Roberts, Josh Utash, Kyle Georges, JJ Utash.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Gene Birrell.
