William Love, was born into a military family, James W. Love and Eva Isabel Love in Wiesbaden, Heese, Germany, December 18, 1963. Big Will’s full of life heart beat one last time April 6, 2024. He was a 6’7” giant teddy bear who loved life. He never met a stranger, regarded everyone as a friend and found a good side in every person he met. Big Will loved gardening, his lawns, flowers, working on vehicles and houses, there was nothing William could not repair or rebuild. He built a go cart out of several pieces of destroyed parts, put a lawn mower engine and painted it blue for his children. At age 14, his daughter sold it for several hundred dollars. She not only inherited his basketball skills, but also his mechanic and bartering skills.
William, “Dr. Love” ,was a Highland Hornet basketball player that no one could forget. He was known for swatting the basketball into the stands, and slam dunking a basketball, shattering back boards. He played college basketball and earned an Engineer Bachelor and Associates of Science degrees and went into the automotive field where he loved his job in management positions at Jiffy Lube, Just Brakes, JW Industries, Big O Tires and found his home at Midas.
William married his high school friend, Kimberly Baker June 12, 2004 and gained two step-sons, James and Kolby and his beautiful baby girl, Leilani Eva was born January 21, 2005. He loved her with all his heart and was so proud of her basketball career in high school and now college. Big Will never met a stranger, if he had it, you had it, if he did not have it, he was going to find a way to get it and give it to you. He loved his wife and children with all of his heart, through the ups and downs, good and bad, highs and lows. He took in his step-sons fathers for the purpose of “family”. His many nieces and nephews could count on him for anything, anytime, anywhere.
“Big Will” leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Kimberly, step-sons James and Kolby, daughter Leilani, brother Jim (Ellen), Donald (Alina), John “JJ” (Nicole) sisters Yvonne and Debra, and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and Aunt Anne Johnson; along with a multitude of friends and coworkers who became family. He was preceded in death by his grand-parents, parents, James and Eva, nephew Patrick James (PJ), and sister-in-law Jackie Love.
