Virginia “Ginny” Lee Gesser Tull, age 81, left a legacy of love and laughter that will forever warm our hearts. She gracefully departed on Sunday, April 21, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on September 29, 1942, to William and Lois Gesser in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Ginny's life was filled with joy and compassion.
In the love and care of her family, Ginny joined her beloved husband, Alvin “Al” Tull, and grandsons Kyle Lopez and Joey Thrush in eternal peace. She leaves behind a vibrant tapestry of memories and love, embraced by her brothers, Jay Gesser and his wife, Sara and Mark Gesser. Her children, Joe Thrush and Danielle Thrush, Mike Tull and Anita Gutierrez, Susan Tull and Pedro Hernandez, carry forward her spirit of warmth and generosity.
Ginny's laughter was boisterous and filled every room she entered, her jokes lighting up even the darkest of days. With a heart overflowing with love, she showered her grandchildren – Marcus, Samantha, Dylan, Kendel, Dessa, and Nico – and great-grandchildren – Kolle, Sparrow, and Mila – with endless affection.
After graduating from Hollidaysburg High School in 1960, Ginny embarked on a lifelong journey in the hospitality industry, where she excelled professionally and cultivated deep and enduring friendships. Her passion for life was infectious; her spirit was indomitable. In addition to her warmth and laughter, Ginny was also known for her resilience and tenacity, earning her the endearing title of being tough and stubborn. These qualities only added to her remarkable spirit and left an indelible mark on those who knew and loved her. Ginny's flair for fashion and decorating was legendary, reflecting her vibrant personality and impeccable taste.
As we bid farewell to Ginny, we hold dear her radiant smile and quick wit, forever etched in our memories. Though she may have left this world, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched. While no public services are scheduled at this time, Ginny's spirit will continue to brighten our lives, guiding us with her love and laughter, now and always.
