Vernon Walker

(William) Vernon Walker 88, known for years as "Red", passed away March 12, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years Ruth Darlene (Shottenkirk). He is survived by their three children Jerry Alan Walker and wife Randi of Richmond, Ca., Donald Ray Walker of Albuquerque, and Susan Walker Cargill and husband George Feyerabend of Devore, Ca. He was one of 9 siblings raised around Logan, NM. He is survived by brothers Raymond, Eldon, and Billy Statser, and sisters Arlene Wright and Beulah Bonner along with many nieces and nephews. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Memorial Services will be held at Cornerstone United Methodist Church Saturday, April 2nd, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David Wilcox officiating. Private internment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park handled by Strong-Thorne Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Tom and Matt Ranville, David DeGrazio, and Mark Hansen.
