Toni Sanchez

Toni A. Sanchez, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 with her loving family by her side.  She was born on February 28, 1932 in Tome, NM to Eddie and Elvina Trujillo. Toni's deep and abiding faith is what her family remembers most. She loves the Lord and her family is comforted knowing that she is singing His praises at His feet for eternity. Toni was an expert at gardening and preserving the bounty of her harvests: peaches, apple butter, applesauce, apple cider, and green tomato jelly were some of her specialties. She, also enjoyed creating oil paintings. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Martin Trujillo. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard Sanchez, of Albuquerque, NM; children, Richard Sanchez and his wife, Cindy, Michelle Dearing, Joe Sanchez and his fiancee, Renee Baca, Annette Sanchez and her companion, Peter Garcia, all of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Vanessa Salas and her husband, Cipriano Salas, Brittany Bachicha and her husband, Timothy, Silas Thornton and fiancee, Ceslie Rivera, and Angelinah Gonzales; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. The evening Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Casa Del Rey Church, 2500 Corona Dr NW, Albuquerque. Interment will be held at 1:00 PM at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque.
