Garley, Stanley M.
Age 96, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014. He was born on May 3, 1918 to Henry and Leo (Martinez) Garley of Peralta, NM. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II where he earned the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Garley retired from the Santa Fe Railroad as a gang foreman. He enjoyed gardening and flowers and was a parishoner of San Jose Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace A. Garley, in 2005. He is survived by his children, Raymond Garley and wife, Elaine, of Dundee, OR, Judy Ann Baldonado of Albuquerque, NM, and Rudy Garley of Phoenix, AZ; siblings, Clifford Garley and wife, Criselda, of Los Lunas, NM, Mary Jo Moya of Belen, NM, and Joey Garley of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM. The Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 1, 2014 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Peralta Cemetery, Peralta, NM. Pallbearers will be Lito Chavez, Luis Chavez, Frankie Sandoval, Rodney Garley, Gilbert Garley, and Kevin Garley.
