a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, Age 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. He was born on June 15, 1926 to Estevan and Lupita (Baca) Perea of San Marcial, NM. He proudly served our country during World War II in the US Army Air Corps. He was a hardworking plumber and handiman who enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. Most importantly, he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tomasita Perea; children, Patricia Cabrera, Nancy McGeagh, Steve Perea, Sammy Perea; grandson, Gene Lopez; sisters, Carmen Anaya and "Lencha;" and brother, Tom Perea. Mr. Perea is survived by his children, Virginia Jaramillo of Albuquerque, NM, Lee Perea and wife, Dora, of Albuquerque, NM, Ronnie Lopez and wife, Bernadette, of Rio Rancho, NM, and Charlene Aikens of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Lucy; and many nieces, nephews and other family members who will mourn his passing. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service starts at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM.
