Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Ruby E. Torres, 83, died peacefully on Wed. Oct. 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Santiago Torres. Ruby is survived by her children, Carolyn (Earl) and Ronnie (Joyce), 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her cherished brother, sisters, nieces and nephews. Ruby was a devout Catholic and parishioner at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was an active member of the Small Christian Community, Hearts of Faith. Our mother truly had a heart of faith.
Our mother was passionate about her life being a gift from God. She considered her life, her family and friends as gifts from God, to be cherished and exalted. She lived her life faithfully, fearlessly and beautifully. She was an amazingly positive, energetic, kind, loving and generous person. Her kindness and generosity extended far beyond her family and friends and touched many lives through the many charities in her community and those communities far from her.
Our mother cherished the many friendships she made throughout her life time. Most recently she became a member of “The Golden Girls.” She loved the ladies of this group and often spoke about their loving support of her, after the death of her husband Santiago. We would like to thank “Yoli”, our mother’s most recent, caring and loving friend, for her love of our mother.
We loved our mother, grandmother, sister and auntie, Ruby, as passionately as she loved us and we will long for her touch, her kindness and her loving embrace for all eternity.
