Rose Broadhead

A true angel on earth, she was called home suddenly to heaven on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at age 16. While her years may have been short, her impact was larger than life. Her miraculous survival through early years of medical difficulties inspired hundreds, and as the years went by and her health improved, her inspirational qualities did not lessen. Her goal in life, right up until the end, was to spread her own sense of happiness and true joy to everyone she met. A gem of a social butterfly despite her limited ability to communicate, she had the rare talent of being able to brighten anyone's day with her charm, her good will, and her unique and understated sense of humor. No matter what, she could always bring a smile to anyone's face. With a deep and loving connection to her family, she also had a special affection for her dog Skippy, her toy cars, and the color orange. Rose is survived by her parents, Jay and Karen Broadhead of Sandia Park, New Mexico, her brothers John and Paul, and sisters Claire and Grace. Her extended family and many friends will also miss her presence. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, beginning with a Rosary at 10:00 AM immediately followed by Mass at 10:30 at Holy Child Catholic Church, 19 Camino del Santo Nino, Tijeras, NM, Rev.
