Rena Paris-Bendaw, 74 a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, a proud member of Grant Chapel AME Church and Past Grand Matron, Prince Hall Grand Chapter, OES NM, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Rena is the daughter of Arthur Mac Paris Sr. and Mary Dinah Washington, both who have preceded her in death.  She is also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Johnson, Jackie Woodward; her brother, Robert C. Paris. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold H. Bendaw; son, William C. Bendaw and daughter, Traci Scales (Ray) of Duncanville, Texas; sisters, Tommie Marie Clayton of Albuquerque and Billie Jo Henry of Dallas, Texas; brother, Arthur Paris Jr. of Desoto, Texas; granddaughter, Natasha Marley (Ryan); and great great-grandsons, Aiden Marley and Lincoln James Marley, Mansfield, TX.  Rena was blessed to have a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends,  friends we considered family as well!!
The wake will be held Thursday July 29th 2021 at 6:00pm at Strong Thorne Mortuary in Albuquerque, 1100 Coal Ave, SE. Funeral services will be held Friday July 30th, at 11:00am at Grant Chapel AME Church, 7920 Claremont NE.  Internment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens,
