Randall William Valdés (Mr. Valdés/Coach), age 44, was received and embraced by Christ Jesus on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 5:11am in his home.
He joins his mother Margaret E. Valdés in heaven.
He precedes and lights the way for his wife Cindy and his cherished and adored children Marley and Avery.
He is also survived by his father William J Valdés and his wife Adriana, sister Yvonne, mother-in-law Yolanda, sister-in-law Susan and her husband Preston, brother-in-law Larry, step-brothers and sisters Virginia, Karine and Adrian, and nephews Shaun and Jonathan, Charles and Sebastian, and Darion and Zion.
Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on March 15, 1972, he graduated from St. Michaels High School in 1990 where he made life-time friendships and excelled in football and basketball.
While attending New Mexico State University where he received a Bachelors degree in Journalism, he met his love and wife Cindy of 20 years. They made Albuquerque their home and attended Copper Pointe Church.
Later he found his calling as a teacher and received his Masters in Elementary Education at the University of New Mexico. He has the love and reverence of many teachers, parents, and children from Comanche Elementary as well as Double Eagle Elementary where he taught 5th grade. His ability to instill character will be deeply missed by many. He was currently coaching basketball and building young men at DATA Charter School and has coached his beloved son, Avery since Avery was able to lift a basketball.
Beyond all of that his greatest joy came from honoring and serving his wife and children with a love that transcends time. He is among God’s Elite! He will be our blessing and treasure forever. His name is loved.
