Nella Worrell

Nella Ray (Jennings) Worrell passed away on March 10, 2022 at the age of 75. She was the third child of six born to Leola Jennings and Roy Lee Jennings Sr. on June 24, 1946 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nella accepted Christ at an early age, growing up as a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended Lincoln Junior High and was a 1964 graduate of Albuquerque High School.

Nella worked for Manzano Del Sol Village as a Dietary Manager and retired after 37 years of service. She loved reading and watching football and was a long-time fan of the Seattle Seahawks. Nella’s witty personality and sense of humor always put a smile on the faces of those around her.

Nella is preceded in death by her father Roy Lee Jennings Sr., mother Leola Jennings, brother Roy Lee Jennings Jr., sister Cora Lindsay and brothers-in-law Ressie Lindsay and Phillip Smith and nephew Jermaine Jennings . She is survived by her children Kevin Wyckoff (Mary), Kenisha Worrell, Kyran Worrell (Tillie), great-niece Brittani Smith-Rivers, grandchildren Austin Wyckoff, Jett Wyckoff and Dorian Worrell, sisters Rosemary Jennings-Williams (Petersburg, VA) and Etta Smith (Rantoul, Il), brother Thomas Calvin Jennings (San Francisco, CA), sister-in-law Wessie Jennings (Albuquerque, NM) and a of host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday March, 28 2022 at 6:00 pm at Strong Thorne Chapel. 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. Services will be held on Tuesday March 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. 608 Avenida Cesar Chavez SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
