Michael Bryce Lusk

Michael Bryce Lusk, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2023, after complications during his second open heart surgery. Mike was born on November 13, 1967, in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1985.

Mike was a master mechanic his entire working life, having started rebuilding lawn mowers when he was only 12 years old. He was blessed with a natural mechanical gift. He worked at many different shops over his career and in July 2013 he finally opened his own shop, Sedillo Automotive Service LLC, located in Tijeras, NM. As a successful business owner in the East Mountains, he met many people and made many friends. He was as handy as a shirt pocket and always there and willing to help when he could.

Mike was an avid outdoorsman and seized every opportunity to go hunting, fishing, and off-roading, often accompanied by his daughter or one of his close friends. Through these adventures Halee and her dad forged a special bond and Halee will hold many wonderful memories forever. Their once in a lifetime experiences and accomplishments out in the field included several oryx, antelope, elk, waterfowl, and many other game animals.

Mike is survived by his wife, Heather and their daughter Halee; mother, Claudette Wilmarth; aunt, Jeanne Wyche; uncle, Clint Bridges and wife Sheila; various cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by his bother, Matthew Lusk; stepfather, Jim Wilmarth; grandparents Seth and Lois Wyche; and grandparents, George and Jennie Lusk.
