Lynn Pedraza (1956 - 2020)
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Lynn M. Pedraza. Born June 28, 1956, she left this world all too soon on October 12, 2020. Lynn battled Alzheimer’s Disease in her last few years.
Lynn was preceded in death by her mother and father, Bernice Goldberg Pedraza and Richard Steven Pedraza; her husband, Martin Deladago; her brother, Richard Pedraza Jr.; and her close friend, Doug Neuman.
She is survived by her many children; Alexandra, Geovanny, Jennifer, Pauline, Sarah, Lucas, Quincy, Rachel, Melody, and Joey. And her grandchildren; Johnathan, Maximillian, Kayla, Kylie, Joseph, Sharia, Lilith, Naveah, Sean, Xavier, Esmerelda, Kiera, and Risa Rue; her brother, Barry Pedraza, her close friend, Eric Abrams, She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, Margarita, Carlos, Nikki, Timothy, and Richard III.
Born in New York City, Lynn moved to Satellite Beach, Florida as a child. She called Florida her home for many years, graduating from the University of South Florida, before moving back to New York and later, to New Mexico. She was one of the first in her family to graduate high school and continued her education throughout her life. One of Lynn’s greatest accomplishments was completing her PhD from the University of South Florida in 2009. She dedicated her life to helping children and advancing research and resources for children in education, foster care, and mental health. We will be hosting a virtual memorial service on Sunday, October 18th at 4 pm MT to honor Lynn’s memory.
