Loren Ray Downing, 43, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015. He was born on October 4, 1972 to Larry and Joye (Caudle) Downing in Grants, NM. Loren, an avid hunter, loved his children, adored his wife, and spending time with his family and friends. Caring for his family was his greatest concern. He had a huge heart and enjoyed taking care of others. He was obsessed with Clash of Clans and like spending time with his internet family, too. He was an HVAC technician who took great pride in his work. His wealth of skill sets allowed for him to help many family members' and friends' with repairs in their homes. No job was too big, too small, or inconvenient. He was very hardworking. Loren was preceded in death by his son, Kody Ray Downing; his maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy "GG" Ellison; and paternal grandmother, Sarah Jones. He is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Kozeliski) Downing, of Placitas, NM; father, Larry Downing and wife, Betty, of Milan, NM; mother, Joye Downing, of Bovina, TX; children, Chantal, Cassidy, Loren, Rayann, and Jacob; soon-to-arrive first grandchild, Brayden Richard; brother, David Downing; father-in-law, Richard Kozeliski, of Gallup, NM; sisters-in-law, Gloria Kozeliski, and Kathy Maltby and husband, Anton, all of Albuquerque, NM; grandmother, LaTrelle Mieher; and many other relatives including half-brothers, stepbrothers, a stepsister, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
