In Albuquerque New Mexico, on September 23, 1971, Lisa Marie Lundvall (Henry) was born to Edwina Chavez (Wright). She was raised in the South Valley by her adopted parents Clay Henry and Marbella Henry. Lisa graduated from Rio Grande High School at the age of 17 in 1989, where she met her future husband, Samuel Lundvall. They had their daughter Gabryelle in 1989 and after came their son Andrew in 1993. Lisa and Sam had three grandchildren with whom she enjoyed spending the majority of her time.
Lisa Lundvall had a loving spirit whose smile could light up a room. Her warmth and kindness drew people in, and she made everyone feel special and valued. Her laugh was infectious. Lisa had an athletic soul from being the star on her basketball team, to MVP on her softball team and winning all her dance competitions, not to mention her competitive nature in a game of monopoly or one on one in basketball. Lisa thrived in the outdoors. She loved to fish and explore nature’s beauty; she was always encouraging others to join her in her adventures. (I’m sure many of us have fishing stories.) Lisa was thrifty, turning simple finds into treasures with her creativity. We all know that Lisa loved to have a good yard sale. These are just a few attributes that contributed to her stunning personality and her radiating beauty from the inside and out. Her life was a beautiful blend of love, adventure, and simplicity, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Lisa’s spirit will forever inspire us to embrace life with joy and gratitude.
Lisa is preceded in death by her mother, Edwina Chavez (Wright), and her husband, Samuel Lundvall. She is survived by her father, Clay Henry, and mother Marbella Henry, her beloved children Gabryelle Henry-Smith (Robert) and Andrew Lundvall, her siblings Theresa Henry-Reese (James), Geneva Reid (Andre), Jose Henry (Dora), Timothy Henry (Robin), and Juan (Carlos) Henry (Felicia), as well as her treasured grandchildren Emeerah Smith, Robert Lee Smith, and Xaivia Smith, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Lisa Marie Lundvall will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
We love you Lisa and you will forever live in our hearts!
