Linda Kay Garner-Hern was born in Roswell New Mexico on May 14, 1960, to Mary Sanchez-Lankford and L.B. Garner. Her family moved to Albuquerque in 1966. Her dream was to work at Intel. She enjoyed the work and friendships she made through her 24+ years there. Linda loved people, conversations, and travel. It is easy to say the friends she made, quickly became her “cousins”. Linda loved attending and serving at Legacy Church, where she made many friends and connections. Linda left us to be with our Heavenly Father on December 21, 2021. We will miss her dearly. Knowing her, you would feel she had the energy, youth, and love to be around for years to come, but as we know our Gracious and Merciful Father only knows when He is going to call us home. She was preceded in death by Mary Sanchez-Lankford (mother), L.B. Garner (father), Richard “Gypsy” Sanchez (brother), “Little” Raymond Santillanes (nephew), and Mason Hern (stepson). Linda is survived by Floyd Hern (husband), Victoria “Torie” Hern (daughter), Jude (grandson), John Garner-Hern (son), Jana Hern (stepdaughter), Nicholas and Nathan (grandsons), Mariah (granddaughter), Maxine Sanchez-Rubi (sister), Diego Rubi (brother-in-law), Toni De La Rosa (special sister), Jeremy Montoya (nephew), Fernando Santillanes (nephew), and several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
We thank every one of you for loving our Linda and sharing her life’s journey, May God Bless.
