Laura Lee McQuarrie

On December 8, 2023, Laura Lee McQuarrie (Luck), age 78, passed away at her home in the loving embrace of her husband, Bob.

Bob and Laura would celebrate 59 years of marriage in January and are a beautiful testimony of love and family.
Laura was best known for opening her home and heart to everyone she knew.  She was often found in the kitchen preparing meals and baking cookies for her favorite holidays, that she looked forward to all year. She made sure everyone felt like family in their home.  Her legacy of love will survive her in her greatest joys; her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She carefully crocheted a blanket to welcome each of these precious lives into the world, completing one just weeks ago for her newest Great-Granddaughter.  She wanted to ensure that her warmth and love would continue to embrace
every one of her family members for years to come.
Laura was an avid gardener and both her vegetable garden and roses left everyone in awe.  Her garden was a home to her beloved turtles and always full of hummingbirds.  Nothing meant more to her than her family.  Laura and Bob hosted holidays and get-togethers throughout their lives with every guest feeling at home. She was a constant source of love and support for her family and friends and spent her life in simple acts of service to make sure everyone was loved, heard, supported, fed, welcomed and celebrated.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Stella Luck, and great-nephew, Jeromy West and survived by her husband, Bob; Sisters, Sue Schwiller (Fred), Patti Haisley (Jeff); children, Louise Volesky(Jason), Christine Domschot (Michael), Bob McQuarrie (Jeanette); grandchildren, Danielle Rhoades(Andrew), Dakota and Brady Volesky, Ryan Domschot (Chrissie), Lauren Kopec (Michael), Austin Reed, Abbie Reed(Jessie), Tyler and Kyle Reed, Robert, Alexandra, Amber and Devan McQuarrie and great-grandchildren; Keegan, Quinn and Leona Rhoades, Leo McQuarrie, Abigail Harris, Oliver Domschot  and Baby Girl Kopec.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the Spring of 2024; details to be determined at a later date.
