In Loving Memory of Keyona Shontae Hampton on June 14, 1993, in San Diego, California, Keyona Shontae Hampton entered this world, bringing with her a radiance and warmth that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Born to her devoted mother, Virginia johnson, Keyona was the cherished baby girl among her 4 adoring brothers leaving 3 after one passed away.
From the very start, Keyona's compassionate spirit shone brightly. Her love for others, a natural extension of her being, was evident to all who crossed her path. Ever observant, she followed in the footsteps of her brothers while trying to live up to her mother the greateast friend & companion she could ever ask God for in life, always seeking their approval, unaware that she already held their boundless love and admiration.
Known affectionately as "Baby giggle" or "Keke," Keyona's heart overflowed with affection, especially for her beloved family and children. Despite life's challenges, she made every moment count, crafting cherished memories from the simplest joys.
On March 14, 2024, the heavens welcomed Keyona back home, far too soon at the tender age of 30. Though her physical presence may be gone, her spirit lives on through her four precious children: Janiah, Jayden, Kali, and Zariah. Keyona's legacy of love and resilience will forever echo through their lives.
In her journey beyond, Keyona reunites with her grandparents, Bill and Jeanine Agnew, Maxine and Harvey Jones and her big cousin Quinton Agnew and older brother Dontae all finding solace in their loving embrace. Left to honor and cherish her memory are her devoted mother, Virginia Johnson (Gerald), her beloved children Janiah, Jayden, Zariah, Kali and her dear
brothers: Antwan, Truvon, and Dashae. Additionally, she leaves behind a vast
network of aunties, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and countless friends, all deeply touched by her presence.
Keyona's words, "Family Always Means Everything," encapsulate the essence of her being. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit continues to guide and inspire, reminding us that love transcends all boundaries.
In the words of Thomas Campbell, "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." May Keyona's enduring love and vibrant spirit bring solace to all who mourn her passing, and may her memory be a beacon of light in our darkest hours.
