Kenneth was a die hard New England Patriots fan and was able to attend his 1st NFL AFC championship game on January, 24th ,2016. That was a surprise to him from his wife and had only found out that night when she told him to let’s go! He was beyond ecstatic and very happy until the Patriots lost the game.
Kenneth was a Christian and had a very good relationship with the lord and savior, for over 21 years not only did he serve he volunteered in many different areas from the nursery, ushering & prayer team. He was also employed with Legacy Church for over 3 years, where he met so many people from all walks of life. He touched so many peoples lives in such positive ways. Kenneth was so full of life, he always had a smile on his face and would tell people life is too short to be angry all the time. He was head coach with Y.A.F.L for 8 years. He coached his oldest son Dana his last year of football for Highland. Kenneth went on to coach his youngest son Cyrus for 7 years for West Mesa Yafl football team. Kenneth loved every minute of it. Not only did he coach, he made sure they did their homework, kept grades up, & respected their parents, & if they got out of line he would make them run or do bear crawls till they got it together.
Kenneth also coached basketball for Bernalillo County parks & Rec, for 10 years most of his football players followed him to basketball as well because they had a strong rapport & trust was already established & love they had for one another.
His love for football continued and led him to play semi pro football for many years. Kenneth and his wife ended up putting together their own semi- pro football team called the New Mexico Heat. Giving him a chance to play football with his son’s Dana & Donovan again after playing on the Toro’s together.
We could go on and on about Kenneth all day long about what an amazing, genuine, fun loving all around good man he was, who didn’t like any kind of conflict or drama, who cared for everyone.
To his close family & friends he was seen as a big ole teddy bear. (a bear non the less).
He will forever be missed & loved by so so many people.
So, until we meet again may you rest in Paradise Kenneth with this we have lost before.
