Lucero, Jose Florenio

Age 77, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on November 26, 1942, to Jose Luis Lucero and Santa Anita Chavez.

Jose graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1962.  He met, and fell in love with, the love of his life, Erlinda Mary Perea, and they were married on April 11 of that same year and spent their lives together over 57 wonderful years until his passing.  Jose found his calling as a residential painter over the next 50 years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Luis Lucero; brothers, Gilbert Lucero and Lalo Lucero; and his sister, Viloa Lucero.

Jose is survived by his wife, Erlinda Lucero; son, Darryl Lucero; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Steven Lucero; sister, Evelyn (Robert) Perea.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 30, 2020, 5:00 - 6:00 pm at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM  87106.  Rosary will follow visitation at 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020, 11:00 am, at Mount Calvary, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM  87102.
