Jessica Ceilia Pena

Jessica Celia Peña was born on August 16, 2000 in
Roswell, New Mexico. Jessica was the youngest of three
daughters born to Melissa Martinez Dickey. The family
lived in Roswell until Jessica was about 6 years old, when
they moved to Albuquerque. It was at this time that her
step-father, Jamar Dickey, reunited with her mother and
came into Jessica’s life. Jamar helped raise the girls and
loved them as his own, and Jessica considered him to be
her father. Growing up, Jessica’s favorite color was pink and she also
loved sky blue. She enjoyed fishing, loved to draw, and nurtured her
creative spirit by creating works of art. As she grew into adulthood, she
met and had a child with Kenneth Coleman. She named her son
Johannes Amani Coleman and she loved him with all her heart. Jessica
always wanted the best for Johannes and provided for him with an
abundance of love, clothing, shoes, toys, and books. She was so excited
when he turned 3 this year and started preschool. She celebrated his
birthdays at Chuck E Cheese and enjoyed going to the park with him.
Jessica had dreams of finishing school and having her family with her.
Jessica was loved by so many family and friends. She was a kind and
gentle person who touched everyone’s hearts. She was a truly loving
and caring human being. She was the family’s beautiful red headed
freckle faced child.
Jessica is survived by her son, Johannes Amani Coleman; her son’s
father, Kenneth Wayne Coleman; her parents Melissa Martinez Dickey
and Jamar Dickey; her sisters, Reina and Mellrei Peña; and her
grandparents, Celia Madrid, Deborah Earl, Jesse Fuentes, Mary Perry,
and Robert Perry; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and
friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Phyllis Franco
and Sergio Peña Clos; and her great-grandparents, Eslinda & Danny
Valverde, and Eloisa & Selso Martinez.
