Jasmine Sotomayor was born in The Bronx, New York, and was the beloved first child of Wendy Pantoja and Thomas Sotomayor. After the untimely passing of her father, Jasmine moved to California with her mother and her brother, Thomas Sotomayor II. In California, her mother met Ray Martinez, blessing the family with two more siblings, Desiree and Raymond Martinez II.
In 1990, the family relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Jasmine met her first husband, Marcos Munoz. Together, they welcomed two wonderful children, Danyel and Serena Munoz. Following her divorce, she found love again and married Jerry Branch, adding another daughter, Sabrina Branch, to her family. Jasmine took immense pride and joy in being a grandmother to five cherished grandchildren: Zaniya, Amiyah, Zymani Amora, and Zera. Her grandkids were the light of her life, and she dedicated herself to being the very best grandmother possible, making countless beautiful memories with them.
Jasmine will be fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit and ability to light up any gathering. She brought joy to everyone she encountered, always going above and beyond for those she loved—especially her children, grandchildren, and husband. Her remarkable warmth and kindness made her not only an amazing person but also a wonderful friend, mother, grandmother, and wife.
Though she has departed from this world, Jasmine's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
It’s never goodbye; it’s always see you later.
We love you, Jasmine.
