Jacolyn Audrey Morin

Jacolyn A. Morin, affectionately known as Jak and Jackie, was born on October 8, 1950, on Long Island, New York. She entered eternal rest on January 3, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, leaving behind a legacy filled with compassion and dedication.

Jacolyn enjoyed a distinguished career as a dental assistant for 45 years, during which she profoundly impacted the lives of those around her. Her gentle spirit and kind heart meant that everyone she encountered became a better person in her presence. As Jacolyn now rests with Jesus, her absence will undoubtedly be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A proud graduate of Smithtown High School, Jacolyn also attended dental assisting school, honing her skills to serve her community effectively. Beyond her professional life, Jacolyn had many passions that defined her. She had a deep appreciation for purple flowers, photography, and art. She enjoyed crafting beautiful cards and actively participated in Bible study, attending Calvary Chapel for 25 years and engaging in Bible study fellowship programs like BSF and CBS. Alongside her husband, Eric Morin, she shared her love of faith through Bible study at local rest homes for seven years.

Jacolyn was surrounded by a loving family during her life. She is survived by her devoted husband, Eric Morin, her sister,  Lisa Hargrove; her nephews, John Molloy; Antonio Callari; her niece, Jaida Halleran; her grandniece, Sierra Stewart; and several other nieces and grandnieces, and her two cherished Schnauzers, Freddie and Harley G. She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Aringer; her mother, Audrey Stufkosky-Aringer and sister Shirley Callari.

Jacolyn A. Morin’s impact will remain in the hearts of those she touched. Her kindness, creativity, and unwavering faith served as an inspiration to all, and her legacy will forever be cherished.

Funeral services will take place on January 13, 2025, at Strong Thorne Mortuary located at 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. The service will start at 11:00 AM, followed by the gathering from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome to join in honoring Jacolyn’s life and memory.
