Ismael C. Torres, (aka Smiley or Mel) beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend entered the kingdom of heaven on Friday October 3, 2014. Formerly of Las Cruces, NM, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1971 and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Sandia Pueblo as a Waste Water Management Engineer in 2003. He is preceded in death by his father Ismael Torres, mother Audela Estrada, brothers Alberto, Crespin and Anastacio Torres. Ismael leaves behind his two sons Ish and Efren Torres and daughter Samantha Linney and husband Danny. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Victoria (Snoogies) and Demetri Torres, and Mateo Sigwrith. Sisters Teresa Archuleta, Carolina Peña, Viola Archuleta and Mary Carrillo and husband Francisco. Visitation will take place Friday, October 10, 2014, from 6:00 pm- at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. Rosary to be recited on Friday, October 10, 2014, at 7:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11, 2014 , at 9:00am at Mount Calvary of Albuquerque.
