Age 84 , passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret DeVolk, of Albuquerque; NM; children, Bert DeVolk, Leslie DeVolk, and James "Tony" DeVolk; several grandchildren, including, Greg and Andrea; and several great-grandchildren, including, Andre, Heaven and Angel; brother, John DeVolk; sister, Joann Thomas and husband, Barry; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, lots and lots of "changos" and many other nicknames that can't be printed. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Philip DeVolk and Alex Montoya; and grandson, Jonathan DeVolk. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Strong-Thorne Vintage Reception Room, 1100 Coal Ave SE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 PM. Mr. DeVolk proudly served in the US Navy with the Underwater Demolition Team Four and US Marine Corps-Reserves. Military Honors will be presented to by the US Navy Honor Guard.
