Eva Sanchez

Eva P. Sanchez (July 27, 1925-June 9, 2015), died in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Tomè, raised in Belen and lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico until her passing.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Ramona Sanchez; brother, Oswald Sanchez and sister-in-law, Minnie. She is survived by her loving husband, Fred Sanchez, of 67 years; her children and their spouses, Yvonne Sais (Gene), Kathy Peters (Larry), Fred Sanchez Jr. (Fiancè Kim); her grandchildren Yvette Sais (Greg Bank), Chris Sais (Salina), Suzanne Archuleta (Rudy), Eric Garcia; great-grandchildren Nicolas Sanchez, Joshua Roberson, Nicholas Garcia, Elena Sanchez, Matthew Garcia, Eva Sanchez, AaLiyah Garcia, Gregory Bank. She is also survived by her sisters Carmen Montoya, Stella Sanchez, Lucy Zachary (Charles). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Eva loved working in her yard and taking care of her flowers.  She especially loved jewelry and her weekly hair appointment always kept her beautiful and ready to go shopping. She enjoyed her 22 years at Christina Kent Day Nursery and was known as "grandma" by so many.  Special thanks to her loving caretakers, Vangie, Brianna, Rachel and the staff at Ambercare. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until the start of the Rosary at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. The Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 3424 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque. Following the Mass, Interment will be held at 2:15 PM at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene Sais, Larry Peters, Chris Sais, Rudy Archuleta, Nico Sanchez, and Joshua Roberson.
