Emma DeRaad passed away peacefully in her home on May 12, 2015 due to a long illness. She was lovingly taken care of by her son, Maurice. She was born on January 15, 1930 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. DeRaad. She is survived by children, Billy DeRaad and his wife, Casey, Evelyn Ortega and husband, Henry, Maurice DeRaad, Erlinda DeRaad; grandchildren, Henry Ortega, and fiancee, Charmayn, Jolene Ortega, William DeRaad, Jordan DeRaad and Dylan DeRaad; great-granddaughters, Audrina and Isabella Ortega. She was a loving mother, grandmother, as well as great-grandmother. She is now resting in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 6:30 PM until the Rosary begins at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave SE, Albuquerque. The Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, 5415 Fortuna Road NW, Albuquerque.
