Dorothy Demarets

Dorothy (Dottie) Demarets, 97, passed away onWednesday, September 14, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born on July 23, 1919 in the Bronx, New York. She held many jobs throughout her lifetime, but her greatest joy was being a housewife and mother. "Grandma Dottie" lived through 18 presidencies, the Great Depression, and many wars and conflicts. Her family will remember her super-spunky attitude. Those who knew her will have many funny memories of her. She was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Demarets, of Lake Charles, LA; her parents; and her brothers, Harry and Joseph Yerg. She is survived by her son, John Demarets and his wife, Mary, of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Tim McCarson, Keri Sickels, and Todd Demarets; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
