Derek V. Wheeler

Derek V. Wheeler, born on December 29, 1974, in Hahn, Germany, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a cherished individual whose impact on the lives of those around him will be remembered fondly.

Derek was known for his kind heart and engaging spirit. He had an innate ability to connect with people, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His life was characterized by a deep commitment to his community and a profound love for those close to him. Derek's compassionate nature made him a trusted friend and confidant to many.

As we gather to honor Derek’s life, we invite family, friends, and all who knew him to join us for a Funeral Service on February 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Baptist Church, located at 7701 Zuni Rd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Following the service, there will be an interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, starting at 1:00 PM. The cemetery is located at 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.

Derek leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence in our lives will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on in the stories we share and the bonds he helped create.
