Dante Mitchell

Dante Mitchell, beloved son, brother, father, friend, passed away on January 1, 2024, in his hometown of Albuquerque. He was born on January 21, 1989, to his loving mother Angela Mitchell and father Charles Hartsfield, Dante is Survived by parents, brothers Charles Mitchell, D'Andre Mitchell, and sisters Briana Waits, Tataneisha Mitchell. Dante's daughters - Nyesha Mitchell, Teyana Mitchell, Ja'khia Mitchell, Ka'milah Mitchell - and his son Xavion Mitchell brought immense joy to his life.

Dante is preceded in death by his brother Tramaine Mitchell.

Dante was known for his infectious smile that would light up any room. With a heart filled with compassion and kindness, he touched the lives of those around him. His warmth and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation service will be held on January 16, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Strong Thorne Mortuary located at 1100 Coal Ave SE in Albuquerque. It is an opportunity for friends and family to gather together to pay their respects and share memories of Dante.

On January 17, 2024, a funeral service will take place at Macedonia Baptist Church in Albuquerque. Starting at 11:00 AM and ending at noon, this service will honor Dante's life and provide solace to those mourning his loss.

Following the funeral service, a burial ceremony will be held at Fairview Cemetery located at 700 Yale Blvd SE in Albuquerque. This final farewell will take place from noon until 1:00 PM as we lay Dante to rest.

Dante's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled easily. However, as we mourn our loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful memories he left behind. From his unwavering love for his family to his kind-hearted nature towards others in need, Dante's legacy will live on forever.

In this time of sorrow and remembrance, we find solace in the memories shared and the bonds formed with Dante. Let us draw strength from one another as we honor his life and support each other through this difficult time.

Dante Mitchell will forever be remembered as a bright light in our lives, a beacon of love, and a kind soul. May his spirit find eternal peace and may his memory bring comfort to all those who knew and loved him.

I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home, So I try and send you signs, so you know you’re not alone. Don’t feel guilty that you have life. Life that was denied to, Heaven is truly beautiful just you wait and see! So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free. Then I’ll know with each breath you take you’ll be taking one for me.
