Damita L. Bryant was born on March 26th, 1985 as the youngest child to Clare Mae “Monday” Bryant and L.S. Coleman at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended Highland High School and graduated in 2003 as a proud Hornet. Damita would go on to extend her education in psychology at Central New Mexico Community College.
Damita lived her life as an advocate and counsel for those with disabilities. Damita was given the opportunity to address disabilities with former New Mexico governor, Bill Richardson. Damita was a prestigious member of NM BJD and an active annual participant of Comicon. She was a great lover of all things unique and a fierce fan of Aaliyah, as well as a die-hard fan of the Denver broncos. Damita returned to Christ and found her home within Victory Christian Church.
She was proceeded in death by her father, L.S. Coleman, mother, Clara Mae Bryant, sister, Linda Davison, and Furbaby, Goldie Lynn Bryant. Survived by sisters Sara Diggs (Anthony sr. Deceased), Yalonda Rucker, Angela Saavedra (Roland III), and Shante Bryant, Stepmother, Gwenda Evans, godchildren, Teveon, Kane, Odin, Monroe, Freya, nieces, Keyona (Tre), Ny’Chelle, Briana (Marco), Alanaja, Shariah, Nephews, Tywan, Anthony Jr., Roland IV (Danelsy), Desmon Jr., Teveon, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
God has welcomed Damita home with loving arms and a beautiful light. May she walk alongside all of our loved ones and angels, and her heavenly eternity be filled with peace and love.
