C’Quan Rashawn Reed was born January 19, 2001 to Iris Reed and John Samuels in Albuquerque New Mexico. He attended Atrisco Heritage Academy 2015-2019. He later became a recreational leader for Joan Jones Community Center and Westgate Community Center.
C’Quan had a God given gift to make people laugh and smile. Every time he entered a room the light and joy, he had shined from his heart. He loved to hear the beat drop to any song as he would sing along and claim the dance floor as his. He never wanted anyone to be sad in his presence; his arms were always open for the best hugs as they were from the kindness of his heart. He loved working with kids. It gave him great joy to give back to his community and create lifetime bonds with everyone he encountered.
He would often be seen hanging out with friends and family bringing comedy and happiness. His smile was so genuine and could brighten the darkest day. His laugh could make anyone feel what joy he felt in that moment as it encouraged them to join in. The love he had for people is one that cannot be matched or forgotten.
He is proceeded in death by his Uncle Johnny Reed and Grandmother Marion “Peaches” Younger.
He is survived by his Mother Iris Reed and Father John Samuels and Grandmother Cleo; His three sisters Chakea, Chakea, and Touchana and brother Willie. Four aunts, Donna and husband James Martin, Michelle, Betty and Ivy. Along with his cousins Dino, Dion, Winona Amaiya Lyrika and Trevion Linda Aleya Kam’Ron Diondre Xaden and baby Dion. More joyful and treasured moments will be left with great aunts Lettie King, Sophia Holland and great uncles Douglas and wife Katie Reed and Tommy Joe Reed, and a host of cousins.
