Larcy, Charlotte V.
Charlotte Veronica Larcy was born on January 12, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY. She peacefully passed from this world on Monday, April 6, 2015, and was reunited with her beloved husband, Joseph. She and Joseph met in 1973 while Charlotte was working for the Nassau County New York Police Department as one of the department’s first 911 operators. They moved to Albuquerque in 1980. Charlotte worked for the city of Albuquerque until she retired in 1990. Family and friends were very important to Charlotte and she was a wonderful sister, mother, grandmother and aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was a true friend to more than we can name. She is survived by her daughter Ellen O’Rourke, Ellen’s husband Conrad Swartz and their two children, Danielle and Ava Swartz of Massachusetts. Charlotte is also survived by her daughter, Beth O’Rourke and her wife, Anne Dehon, of Albuquerque. The family is grateful to the staff at Manzano Del Sol and to Dr. Scott Brown for their dedicated and loving care of Charlotte all these years. Services for Charlotte will take place in the Chapel at Manzano Del Sol Good Samaritan Village in Albuquerque, NM. Services will be on Sunday, April 19th at 3:30 PM.
