Benjamin, Burnest
Burnest (Bernie) Benjamin Jr., born June 10, 1956 to the parents of Burnest and Pecolia Benjamin in Albuquerque, NM. He was child the seventh of nine children. Burnest graduated from Albuquerque High School 1974 and entered the United States Army where he successfully completed his four years of service and received honorable discharge. Upon returning home, he enrolled in Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute where he successfully completed the Electrical Trades Program. Burnest worked as an Electrician for many years in Texas, Denver, and in Albuquerque, NM. Burnest is preceded in death by his father Burnest Benjamin, mother Pecolia Benjamin, brothers Charles Benjamin, David Benjamin, and Clarence Benjamin. He is survived by his brother Carriel Benjamin, sisters Rose Foster, Nancy Lashley, Pecolia Sharts, and Laura Benjamin, daughters Jeannette, Queanette, and Crystal Benjamin, grand-children Jalen, Jacobi, Jenia, Jaiani Quinones and Simena Benjamin. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 am with a Funeral Service starting at 11:00 am at Strong Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE.
