Bisby Leon Howard was born on September 1, 1937 to the late Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Precious Melissa Howard in a small farm town of Thomasville, Georgia. he attended the public schools of Jefferson County (Monticello, Florida) and Hillsborough County (Tampa, Florida).
Upon graduating from Middleton Sr. High School (June 8, 1956), Bisby began the process of enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. On August 1, 1956 the latter became reality.
Bisby was stationed in various bases located in Turkey, Europe, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was an active baseball player for various teams on Manzano Air Force Base, Kirtland Air Force and overseas bases.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force in March, 1974.
After retiring he worked as a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad and Civil Engineers at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Bisby loved music of all kinds, having a large collection of records and albums.
He loved his family and encouraged each of them to pursue higher education goals.
Bisby was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Precious Howard, his son Byron Sctt, four older brothers, Lewis, Percy, Arthur, Jr. and Roy and two older sisters Inez Reed and Lillie Ruth Howard.
Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Marzil. His Aunt Annie Johnson, nieces Elousie Livington, Florrie Jones, Brenda Howard-Kitchen, Lillian Gaines, Mary Bunch and Deborah Henigan. Granddaughter Dominque Scott and many nephews, cousins, and a host of friends throughout the United States.
Bisby was formerly married to Joyce Ollyway and was a Father figure for her five children and grandchildren.
