Azucena Barraza was a beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend. Azucena, passed away on October 19th, 2021 at the age of 38 after a courageous six year battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 8th, 1983. She is survived by her son, Jesús Enrique Barraza; her parents, Jose L. Barraza and Teresa Barraza; sisters, Floricela Barraza, Lucero Barraza, Ruby Barraza and three beloved nephews and niece. Working alongside oncologists and nurses for many years Azucena touched the lives of many cancer patients like herself. She found gratification and took pride in preparing cancer treatments to help others who shared the same battle. Her love and memories will forever be carried in our hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Azucena will be honored on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Strong-Thorne Mortuary on 1100 Coal Ave. SE.
