Asher Elyse Garcia

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Asher Elyse Garcia went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2023.  She was a beloved & cherished daughter and mother.  At just 24 years old Asher’s life was a beacon of positivity, inspiration and joy touching all who knew her with her infectious humor, quirky charm, and boundless love for life. 

Asher, a dedicated mother to her adorable 4-year-old daughter Ava, juggled her responsibilities with grace and determination.  She was not only excelling in her studies as a software engineering student but also stood out as an honor student, admired for her intellect and passion for learning.  Some of her accomplishments included being a part of NASA Minds where she conducted research on how to effectively grow and transfer plant life into space.  She was a STEM Core member and a participant in the ALRISE research program funded by the National Science Foundation.  She very recently completed an internship with Lockheed Martin and was recently accepted into the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University where she had expected to graduate with academic recognition.

She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Laura Jaramillo and uncle Ben Jaramillo.  She has left behind her beautiful 4 year old daughter Ava, her mother Roxanne and her “Tata” Bennie Jaramillo as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other family and friends who miss and love her forever until we meet again in Heaven.
