Albert H. Blechner passed away at the age of 91. His family emigrated from Hamburg, Germany. He was born in Greenwich, Connecticut - the first American born in his family. Al joined the Air Force and was stationed in New Mexico when he met Pauline Torres at a dance at Kirtland Air Force Base. They were married in 1955 and were together for 66 years until Pauline’s passing in 2021. Al was a carpenter for the Air Force civil service for 31 years. He built the family home and, when he retired, he built a cabin in Colorado. He could build anything, including a wonderful life for himself and his family. Aside from carpentry, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, the casino, traveling, especially to Las Vegas with friends, and Lobo basketball games.
Al was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, and his son, Philip. He is survived by his daughter, Renee Blechner, grandsons Ryan Blechner, Michael Wiggins, and Daniel Wiggins, great-grandchildren Blaise and Winter Wiggins, as well as many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
